    About Alexandra Bridge Art

Welcome to my website!

My art practice over the past several years has mostly been painting, featuring animals, birds, plants and starry skies on abstracted, visually textured backgrounds. I like to combine acrylic underpainting with textured grounds to build up layered surfaces, often using oil paint and wax-based mediums as well. I also make mixed media works using a range of other mediums such as watercolours and oil pastels.

These days as well as painting, I make original jewellery with recycled beads, polymer clay and found objects.  I also make recycled paper pulp Relic Bowls and a range of unique Australian animal dolls under the name of Woollybutt Primitives.

My paintings, bowls and dolls plus a range of fine art prints and greeting cards are available for purchase at the Peace Of Green Gallery here in Maleny, QLD, and also at the monthly Witta Markets.  You can like and follow Alexandra Bridge Art on Facebook and Instagram for the very latest updates on new paintings, bowls, jewellery and dolls, and where/when/how you can buy them.

I welcome your enquiries, just drop me a line via my Contacts page.

I live in beautiful Maleny, Queensland, Australia with my husband Noel and our darling dog on 2 acres surrounded by green fields, trees, native birds and animals. We grow food organically and play music together too. I feel so very fortunate to be living this blessed, creative life.
